I'll edit this post later with details and post the slips but I ran a 12.54 at 110, 1.6x sixty foot. Did it twice and smacked a late model Corvette both times (in street tires though).

another Corvetter, a late model ZO6 and heavily modified, totalled itself on the wall as well. I'm sure pics will get posted shortly.

I think the owner is in the car. Early in the day (we invited several corvette club members to the rental for "grudge" style racing) the track announcer tongue in cheek said this vette was going into the wall as he had a terrible time keeping it under control--just a ton of power to the ground but the tires just couldn't handle it. 3 hours later he was in the wall, with a $100k investment ruined but his health and life held in check. Lucky he walked away...

Nice runs John.... Congrats.

Too bad the vette hit the wall but what was the guy thinking....I would never dream of traking my car down the track with street tires...
Maybe next time he will think...good thing he didn't cross the track and take someone else out.

Man, you guys are cold.

Just so happens that guy is a good friend of mine. John and several others here on this forum are friends with him as well. He is in his 20's and has some major health issues that led to his size. He is a nice kid who loves and owns Mustangs and was hanging at the track with us.

Unless you have something nice to say... zip it.

Marc, I was surprised you weren't there--nice cool morning but it got warm quick. One of the better turnouts and the vette guys gave us some real challenges.

Here's a good pic because it shows how the bmr xtreme roll bar is helping plant the rear without twisting the car:

And one of my son in his junkyard '86 with stock motor somehow pulling a 13.5. I guess the slicks helped:

I Like how level the car is. I am concerned about cornering though. I see some companies say you can swap the main anti-roll bar out and put the sway back in when you want corner hugging. If that is true, I'll get one, but I have a long list of other stuff I would like to do first.

I wish I could have been there. Between my car having driveline issuse and my kids party, I couldn't make it.

My son's b-day was Aug 6 and my daughter's b-day was Sept 20. We had a big party on the 20th for the two of them. Had a blast too.

Just had to go there huh?

Define Irony: Choking on food while laughing at a fat guy for being fat.

Nice run! I cannot wait for some cooler weather here; if there is such a thing in south Louisiana...

Chad05GT, I'm looking at the same heads you have installed. What cam did you go with? I have the Comp Stage II springs required setup (their Stage III in older marketing material) but am thinking going with a lockout and a wilder cam over the winter.
