New truetrac, gears, bearings etc installed the week before. Now the test.

Maui Raceway Park July race 12.90 Pro Street bracket.

During TNT car was real consistent in very hot temps. Car ran 12.87-12.92 on all runs.

First qualifying run at sunset car ran 12.75 WTF man!
Second run was headed in the same direction so I let off, dragged the brake and ran a 12.91 That put me in the #1 qualifying position.

Made it through a few rounds and into the finals against an 86 Fox body mustang. We both ran the exact same RT and ET .66 and 13.05 This was by far my worst ET and RT of the night. I had been cutting 55-58 lights off the pro tree all night and the humidity (DA 1800+ ft) had risen so much lots of cars were slowing down. I won by .007 .......I always liked that number.

I love racing but winning is even better IMO. New truetrac and gear setup worked perfectly with no noise. New GT500 splash guards kept the rubber off the car too. I should have put those in years ago. As usual my custom Brenspeed tune got me there.

Nice work. Love seeing a mustang take home the hardware!

Where did you get the mud flaps from? I've seen sets with all 4 but would prefer just the back 2. I didn't even think of getting something that simple to protect the body.

Yeah Ray, I'm trying my best to build a collection. My trophy shelf is now full, gotta add another one. LOL My August race is for Wallys, now thats one I really want to win.

Got the mud flaps here and they fit if you install the right ones on the left and left on the right side. That way they stick out enough to work. It will make sense when you see them. I was really tired of cleaning all that rubber off the car every month. Tried all the the tricks and finally just got these. Should have gotten them years ago, as they really work and you hardly see them.

the flaps do help. Have them on my car. I always used WD40 to remove the residue but last time tried PB blaster and was a lot easier and faster. Lets see a picture of all those trophys..

Well since you asked.

4 First Place
1 Runner Up
1 3rd for 2012 Season Points

The plaque on the wall is for 2011 NHRA HI State Championships.....if you zoom in you can see there is a Wally built in the plaque. :thumb:

I enjoyed drag racing for years until I won an event in 2011. From then on its all about winning. Going fast isnt enough anymore. LOL :evillaugh:

Hopefully they would honor former winners? I've only got one trophy, it's kinda small but it could use a polishing...
