This is the new DSS 900hp 3.5" alu internally dampened, yes you read right internally dampened, note the pop rivet in the epoxy glued balancing forward and aft tabs, that might be a clue, when I tapped on it however, it did not sound like there was some sort of coating, the dampening is most likely in the forward machined section...
I'm the first one to receive it.
20 lbs with the hardware on the scale.
I had vibration issues under heavy load only with the steel one,no high speed vibration at steady throttle.
The rear pinion angle was set properly, my trust angle was corrected and the side angle is minimized on the panhard due to my lowering springs.
I have the Steela hard engine mounts with the red polyurethane installed and the rear end is all on polyurethane bushings as well.
My gears are dead silent...
I'll post my comments in 2 weeks after I install it, gotta go and install my Corbeau's GTS II all leather first before I leave for the Grand Canyon tour on Monday morning...
