I was thinking about this the other day. How much does it cost to get you up here? Are you at all interested in coming into town and doing Coyote tuning? I knew you wanted to get your hands on a car.

Over a year ago I could get to Miami for 300$, now it won't come down from 1600$ if you get to find one ticket, is crazy, government owes 4billion$ to airlines so they suspended most of their flights, seat offer is lower than 1/4 what it usually was.

Thank God, I'm gonna need a little luck hahaha. But I think I'm just gonna pay Vorshlag to do my wiring harness.

Oh, so cute, you did not got the joke, lol. I just have one finger for you, the finger! hahaha, j/k. You are stripping the whole car?

You can free up your fingers that were reserved for me since mine isn't as important as some of the other cars. Mine is just a time constraint issue but I don't think I'll have any issues with the car running once I'm done.

I don't know, hope we chose all the correct wires, think we did. But only startup will let us know.

Geeeeeze that's nuts. The way oil prices are going I doubt it'll change either.

Haha apparently I missed that joke. But yea, the entire car is getting stripped over the next few months

Talk to Dysan, I've heard he loves wires, found his new passion, only thinks and dreams on wires, connectors, splices....lol
Is that his username on here?

Honestly I was gonna let Vorshlag do a mil spec harness when they do my cage. Pricey, but they do excellent work and it's a lot better product in the end

Yes, contact him for a quote!!!

I am kidding with him, he posted a few post over, I think he has wiring nightmares if that is a thing. He seems to be a few years older after he started this project, lol.

Hell, it makes my head hurt just looking at others pictures. Lol

I may have to go visit my mom in Kansas so I can swing by Jim's house and fix his car! Its not like he's going to do it. I can just picture him sitting in the garage with tears in his eyes when I pull up.

I doubt I could have done the harness gutting without Lito's help...although I would probably still be a sane person had I not touched it! :beerdrink:

In the end I'm just trying to get as much weight out of my car as I can without spending stupid amounts of money on things like fiberglass doors, lexan, etc. Looks like I got about 15lbs of weight out of the body wiring harness so hopefully that combined with all the other stuff I've removed will make it all worth it.

That is a very labor intensive 15 lbs...

True, but every bit of weight counts. My car is drag only now and I'm trying to make sure I don't lose any ET at the track putting in the powerglide transmission. In the end I should get an extra 200-250lbs out of the car when it's done.

Ok, small update.

Finally took the car out today for a spin, everything is ok now, transmission has a little noise on 2nd it did not had once new but it is still awesome, no more pop outs on 4th or weird vibration (nothing more than would what a poly engine and trans mount would do).

3-4-5 into the 160MPH is scary fast for an NA car, for some reason having the car back to NA makes it a lot more predictable and I tend to go faster in it.

EPAS has been shipped, so next step is installing it as it arrives, gearing, brake updates, small suspension repair, pillar pod removal and vent pod with only 1 gauge, switch panel coming out and removing the return fuel system and go back returnless with a stock hat and a 305 I got from Jeremy. Being NA I can really feel how different the car is with fuel temps in the 80s instead of 120s.

If all goes to plan, I think that next dyno time should be a 4xx run.

I know exactly what you mean. I drive my 12' a lot harder than I do my 07'.

the tears in my eyes will be from the smoke billowing from the garage  Tears of relief and great happines

I will take vacation lol.. just need few days to schedule it! I actually did work on it today. Frustrating part is everything is checking out. FML.. To top it off I was concerned I may have fried the pcm I borrowed from my buddy here but he put it back in his car and runs fine. I almost wanted it to be fucked so I would have a direction to look.

Sent you a message Lito.. For grins I would like to try my pcm in his car (he has manual and you should have all his info). Will pay you for the tune. At this point money is last thing I am thinking of

OK, car is done now. This has some of the car build info so here all what's done to it.

New rear discs and pads.

New front discs and pads.

New brackets on the transmission crossover for new rubber isolators for the x member hangers. (Pypes makes these for the new edge and they are really nice)

New gear, (just a beautiful Fore cover showoff, it's a shame it's under the car and can't be seen) Ford doesn't make/sell 4.30 anymore, this one is Yukon gear, is quite expensive but as it arrived we found that it has stamped Ford motorsports logos to it, I was worried it could be noisy but I haven't heard any whine on coast or drive, so I am pretty happy with it.

3" Pypes M80s on the Magnaflow 3" cat back, still has drone but quite better.

A nice gift from a friend, thanks Ken!

And finally, here are the new numbers, some tuning, more miles on the engine and the EPAS gains have gotten us to our desired target 405rwhp/356rwtq. Attached is the dyno's PDF.

The car is a fucking NA rocket, you can down shift into 2nd at 60mph and get really quick into the 150mph using 2-3-4-5, dropping 1000 and change rpms each change, shifting at 6.8-7k not, feels like a damn bike. I'm in love, just need it to hold, 1000 miles on it and so far so good.

Who needs a coyote now? [emoji2]
