I’ve got a 2006 convertible pony package automatic with 200,000+ miles. I’ve been unsuccessful finding a replacement S197 convertible with less than 50,000 miles that I like. By this email, I’d like to explore refurbishing mine as follows:
-New engine
-New transmission
-Totally new suspension
-New top and new with new pistons (frame is ok)
This is a daily driver, but I drive less than 50 miles a day, and in less than two years, I’m retiring so no more commute. I care more about fun but comfortable cruising than I do speed, so I’m not trying to turn this into a GT or anything like that. Just trying to get a fun and reliable car back.
I’d appreciate any advice this group might have. I’m in the Baltimore area, and want to find someone to do everything right.
Thanks
