Hi, I am new to the forum but used some of the info I was able to find here, and appreciate it.

I picked up a 2006 convertible with a 4.0 for my wife. It is a driver, and she loves it.
I had an issue with the horn not working; pushing the switch at the steering wheel did not work, but it did work with the panic alarm. Relay and fuses were fine under the hood.

I ended up finding out about the SJB issues on this site. I took a look and found a pin (pin 39 (horn ground) from the c2280cb connector) corroded and broken off in the connector.

I tried swapping the SJB, but it was from a coupe. Everything seemed to work except the convertible switch. I noticed an abs light on too.

I put the original SJB back in after pulling pin 39 from the c2280b (blue on front of sjb) connector and splicing a wire1000009400.jpg1000009402.jpg from it ( the dark blue wire) to the reddish orange wire from pin 29 of the c2280c on the back of the sjb. That connector is the third connector and is black.

This fixed the horn, and kept the panic alarm system intact.1000009416.jpg

Not sure I understand everything you did here but glad you got it done. Did you use special pin tools too replace the wires.

Yes, I used pin tools to remove them. Basically the horn pin #39 (dark blue wire) from the blue connector on the front of the SJB needed to connect to the pin #29 (reddish orange wire) on the 3rd connector which is black and on the back of the SJB. It connects internally,, but that was the problem; the pin was broken, and disrupted the circuit. So, I externally spliced into the blue and to the reddish orange wires to complete the circuit. I soldered a splice wire to each of the two wires about 4 inches away from their ends to make it easier.
