By the way, I know there's a lot of you guys already sub'd to this thread so I wanna mention it here too ... there's a car show coming up, set up via NEMC (New England Mopar Club), a club I'm still a member of since I owned a 2007 Charger up until recently.

It's set up for Toys 4 Tots, on Sunday 11-18-2012 from 10 AM, in Manchester CT.

I posted a separate thread here but so far no replies : http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=92283

Hope to maybe see some of you there.

I'm still not 100% sure I'll be able to make it, it's up in the air right now, depending on the GF and her daughter and whether the custody swap happens near there like it usually does, or somewhere near our place, like it happened the last couple of times the dad took her for the weekend (every other weekend usually - right now he's scheduled to have her that weekend)

Hey fellas. An idea dawned on me. What if i went ahead and sold my car... But only to replace it with a terminator or Shelby next year? ;)

I think the terminator would be a big step back from a built/blown 3v.

The shelby would be a sidestep, but probably cost a lot more $$$ considering how far deep you are into it now.

depends on how you look at things. the 2.3 is the biggest whipple they have for the 3v, so my power potential is severely limited. the teriminator and shelby have other options for bigger blowers.

You could go KB mammoth. Still, you can string a whipple out to 650rwhp easy.

Or, you could by the DOB manifold, and a whipple 4.0 and toss that on the 3v
haha.

you can easy. Billy seems like he wants to push the limit on the whipple, so we'll see what he can do.

I also think the shelby is just going to be way too much $$ when you consider what you have invested in the car now vs what you can sell it for, then the cost of a used shelby.

Going for 650 here, should be doable but we'll see. There's always the JPC inlet manifold to add on later. I thought there was a 2.9 whipple but I guess not. DOB manifold + 4.0L whipple would just be too expensive, I'd rather just toss a turbo on at that point.

Hey Norm,

Welcome to the site! I'm not sure they'll get to the motor this weekend on my car but we'll see. I'm trying to find a ride down to MPE this Saturday to bring some parts down, I'll keep you posted.

I don't think there is a 2.9 Whipple for the 3v. But there may be hope for my car.. My insurance plummeted after changing to liability. We'll have to wait to see what spring time brings

I really don't see a 2.3 making 650. Friend of mine has a 2.9 Whipple on a terminator at 21psi, just broke 650whp

Yeah, that's kinda a pain. When I did the wideband i broke the vent to get the piece through. Its much easier to go up from underneath than it is to go down.
