However Billy made a good point, if I did get one and had the top down, it would look REALLY funny.

On my black Ranger I had a dark-colored interior and 20% tint which measured out to 17% on the cop's meter that was nice enough to not say much about it right then, only to mail me out a $250 fine for it ...

I did love the way that truck looked though ... but I'm NOT going through that hassle again ... having to always look out for cops, to lower at least one side window as soon as I see one, regardless of how cold it is or if it's raining? No thanks.

I want legal tint now ... I was even thinking of doing 50% on the door windows ... I won't, but I briefly thought about it ... lol

Yeah I was quoted $230 cash including the windshield eyebrow which I really want since the car doesn't have any factory tint at the top of the W/S now, except just above the mirror ... and I don't like having to reach for the sunvisor, which has some CD's on i, but on the side that becomes unusable once flipped down.

The place said they trip the feature that makes the windows go down a bit when the door opens, and when they're done with the car the tint's 100% done.
And it only takes about 1 hr.

Ask them what brand film they use, that's the 2nd most important thing after the installer.

Also, the factory glass has some tint so if you are actually worried about police ticketing you, I would go one stage lighter than the legal limit. So if MA is 35% legal, I would get > 35% tint. My actual tint film is 23% but it reads out at 19% because the factory windows are not 100% light transmission.

Yeah factory windows have 3-4% tint in them ... So tint places really should stock 40% film ... I think my Focus is supposed to have had 38% film put on it but somehow it measures right around 30 ... I think might even be 27% or so ... sucks but whatever.

April 6th is a Saturday and I originally had plans for a get-together with some of my Mopar friends, but since I used to go with the GF and she'll probably go without me this time since we broke up, I don't think I'm gonna go, but not sure yet

This Friday I'm gonna have the shop do the driveshaft, reso delete, oil change, trans fluid change, and rear-diff fluid change

A bunch of MF towels
4 applicator pads
2 grit guards
Chennille Microfiber wash mitt
Maxi-Suds II Super Suds Car Wash Shampoo
Clay bar and Lubricant detail spray (medium)
Revive glaze and polish
M-seal micro sealant
XXX HARD CORE Pure White Carnauba paste wax

This will be the first time I have done anything other than just washing my car. I hope it comes out nice.

I actually have metal shine, and I might have tire shine, I don't know if I tossed it or not, but I don't think it looks right with my tires, it looks better with lower profile tires.
