Marc, congratulations! The 2011 GT500 is an incredible car - enjoy! I'm looking forward to seeing it at the next NVMC meeting. Mike

John, I like you a lot... and I'm all about making some money... but I gotta' sleep with the woman! LOL She was very specific in saying "NO MODS" on a number car.

That thing better be at Tulsa!!

Shit, that's all I need. To have my wife beat me in a race in front of 60 of my closest friends. LOL

Yes. I am not starting until January, but I will get a thread going once I start the work.

congrats on the purchase to your wife....Dare i ask what the plans are for the '07?

It's top secret, but once I figure it out, I'll let you know. LOL

Seriously, I have been talking about the bottom end work with a (somewhat) local builder that is very well known here.

I wanted to do 11's with my car at full weight and the 4.6. I fell short with a 12.1 @ 3900 lbs (including me in the car). Still not bad, but I wish it held together long enough to make the number.

Now that I am doing a new build... I am going to be aiming at 10's full weight instead. So, whatever my builder thinks will get me there...

I'll start a build thread once all the parts are in my garage and ready to get assembled.

I didn't think they were year specific... I like em. They are AL, but look like black chrome.

18" are the only 2010 specific wheel IIRC, there are 19s that crossed both years

18s on verts, 19s on coupes for the 2010 year models.

All non SVT performance package wheels look like that for 2011, they are 19's all the way around. The SVT PP wheels are a staggered 19/20 setup.

Congratulations on a great looking car, I am still amazed at how comfortable and BMW like the car is in some ways...and in others its an utter hooligan! The cars scream to 160 mph with plenty of pedal left and still handle amazingly!

Good info on the wheels. I appreciate the kudos. Thanks!

Yes, the car is stupid fast. I just hope she doesn't beat on it too hard. I'd like to see it in the family for awhile.

What's bugging me is its still F'ng rainning! WTF, Over...
