When my car is idling I here what sounds like a misfire but it's very faint you can hear the normal exhaust note and then what sounds like a deep 'poom, poom' kind of sound, it's random and not very loud but it's definitely there. I don't throw any codes, and got new plugs and fuel filter, it it just me over listening? When you here the sound you can feel it to if you are sitting int he car, like I said its not loud and it's from the front of the car the engine seems to idle fine and can't hear any misses? Any ideas?

my 01 v6 and my 05 gt both stumble a bit from time to time.. not as much as the 3.0L v6 ford put in the ranger tho. that one stumbled enough to cause people to bring it back to the dealer, with concern of a miss

just my .02

I guess I've been just looking for every oddity since the SC install, want to make sure it's running in tip-top shape. I don't see any RPM change, so I doubt it's a miss, maybe it's just a new sound with the SC on there *shrug*

Waiting for my Oil separator to arrive because it needs it, I can't see anyone with a SC with out one, a few days of driving and there is oil in the TB.

i know the sound. could be a bad plug, injector, or Coil on plug.

Do you notice any loss of power? I had this issue a few months back, but it was completely noticeable at idle, and when driving. the issue was a bad COP.

i diagnosed it by pulling the fuel injector plug/harness (grey/tan colored) one at a time while the car was running. once i pulled one that did NOT make the car idle worse, I knew the problem was there- either the plug, injector, or COP.

hope this helps.

Funny you mention this. Today after work, I started my car (which had been sitting from 8am till 3pm) and was was letting it idle when I could hear/feel basically what you mentioned as well. The car has basic bolt ons (cai/tune/mufflers) and the only thing that was done to it was the plugs were gapped for the nitrous which hasn't been used yet since it was installed.
