Oil Loss???

Every time I change my oil, it is 1/2 to 1 quart low. I have 46,000 miles on my 09 gt and let's not mince words about it, I drive it like I stole it 7/10 times I get in it. Is the oil loss just because of running the engine harder, or something else? General Tech Noob so any help would be appreciated.

as to your oil loss, how are you quantifying the oil loss?

The mechanic tells me when he changes the oil...sorry I know thats not helpful

i have the same problem about 1/2qt between oil changes ive heard its due to pcv system or something... on a side note i really dont drive my car hard a whole lot and it only has 13,300 miles on it and its a 2008...

I can tell because when i change my oil i put the old oil inside the new oil containers...i also have to check my oil level every 1000 miles or so to make sure its not low between oil changes

Ok thanks, as long as its normal. And my car is my daily driver, 90 miles to and from work everyday equals lots of miles.
