My friend Pat (Vectorpat) spent most the day helping me out. Pat was a huge help today! Thanx pat!

We tag teamed the fuck out of that tranny! Bitch was a little stubborn at first but finally after some adjustments my input shaft slid right in....MGW all done!

Got the new ATI damper installed!

Motor, tr6060 and starter installed

Tomorrow I tackle the THP turbo piping!

All the red under hood matches all my BMR parts and strut tower brace, still have red calipers too!

Glad to help, nothing like double teaming a tranny. I think the red valve covers look great with everything else under the hood. I think gold engine parts would start looking a little ghetto

Got a lot of small things done today, mostly all my wiring, started installing my turbo piping to check for clearance issues. Found one issue with my oil filter relocation I'm using but it's not a big deal, just have to order a different kind.

Not sure how much this will help with heat soak, but figured I didn't have anything to lose. Got the idea from a recent 5.0 magazine article where they put heat shields on a stock coyote intake manifold and it picked up a decent gain. I already had the heat shield material.

Thanx guys. Im wrapping a few areas of the piping with header wrap, i wrap my pipes starting with the wrap in a bucket of water, makes it stretch real good and keep me from getting all itchy from the fiberglass...downside is i have to wait for it to dry before i coat it with DEI header wrap spray to make it water proof. Im only doing a few sections that come close to the motor and wiring.

new oil filter adaptor is on its way with a few small odds and ends i need. Should have the car in one peice very soon !

No pictures of this weekends adventures, may take some in a few days. aLOT of little things mostly. ALL my wiring is done, re-warped everything and got everything wrapped with heat protection that needed it. Spent roughly 5 hours today aligning the THP turbo piping! I love the amount of adjustability this kit has but boy oh boy it takes a lot to get it all perfect, I must have loosened and re tightened each section 20 times, but everything has great clearance. Once it all fit perfect I removed band clamps that come with the kit for the manifold section and tach welded those pipes in place, removed the 4 sections of pipe from the manifolds to the wastegate and welded those 4 to make 1 section. Sucks to have to mess up that pretty ceramic coating but this way I have 3 less sections that will leak or need re-aligning in the future. Taped off those sections and gave them a good blasting with 1500 degree paint to prevent future rust. Plan to wrap a portion of this pipe with header wrap that runs close to my oil pan. This coating is pretty bad ass...even when welding the sections the together, the surrounding area didn't even bubble.

Had to reinstall my factory oil/coolant black adaptor for the THP kit, re-do my oil sensor fittings.

Tomorrow I will reinstall the turbo pipe section I welded after I wrap it, remove another small section that needs wrapping and then I'm all done with the turbo and piping!

I'll get some pics tomorrow night if I can make it home before dark.....

Biggest hurdle at this point is getting my ID1000's....everything else is minor stuff and lots of time. I havnt been to concerned with dyno numbers for a few years now. I tune using PRP and long as all my numbers are good and it's fast I'm usually happy with that, once I start chasing number I start getting into problems! Last time I was on the dyno it put down 660hp.

Couldn't you just use some 45 degree fittings instead of having to get a whole new oil filter relocation kit?
