The flat black vents look amazing, think I will tackle that this weekend. I like the chrome rings but can't stand the silver dash panel,I've got the black carbonfiberish lookin one that came stock.

i dont like the silver dash panel, where can i get a black one you speak of?

From Ford or maybe eBay. I haven't seen an aftermaket one yet. There may be overlays but I can't see them looking as nice as a factory piece.

Here's what I think he's referring to.

I'd love to have it too but I've never seen the passenger side for sell and piecing one together is too rich for my blood.

I only have one shot at night but will try to get some more tomorrow night. The My Color works - I have mine set to blue as you can see below. I did go a little brighter blue than before though because I thought it was more subdued after the white face was put on. The place I got the overlays from is www.whitegauges.net

At night they take on a "negative image" and the needles really glow. You can still see the icons on the tach side.

Thanks for the heads up. I just installed a set of white overlays. They went on easy, and they look great. Going to do the gf's GT too tomorrow.

Do the needles just pull off? I've always been afraid to do overlays on any of my Mustangs. I can't see Ford just selling me a needle. lol!

Definitely do not pull one of the needles off!

You grab the overlay, stick the needle through the hole, and then slide it far enough underneath the needle to get the other side over and under. The instructions are pretty good. If you end up pulling the overlay and warping the edge, just use a hairdryer and the squeegee to flatten it out. That's what I did.

Damn that's a really good price for the overlays. I might get this as well.

the overlays slide over the needle just follow the instructions and use soapy water to get them in place and then a blow dryer to secure them , kinda like how tint works. Mine look awesome and it took me about 30 mins from start to finish to install them.

That is correct Midnight - be sure to pull straight and steady, don't try to jerk it out all at once.

When you reinstall the vents, I made sure I put a little closed cell foam on the back side. My vents creaked like crazy, and after doing this it's gone.

Here's mine painted black.
