To remove the chrome rings you just pull them off? Mine seem to be on there pretty tight. Should I take a hair dryer to them?
Thanks all,

Gerardo

You have to pull the entire assembly out - just grasp the chrome trim with your fingers inside the vent and pull straight back. Once you have it out there are 4 clips (I think, maybe it is three) that you need to open up CAREFULLY so you don't break them. You just lift them a little and pull them apart.

Haha I want to do it too. It comes off so easily I almost did it that same day! But I didn't know if the side with the passenger airbag comes off like the rest?!

I used some SEM black paint I had lying around on mine. I did take them all apart though.

How does yours look when you open the vents?

Now I just need my car back. I have an extra set of bezels now, considering painting them the RedFire Ring of Death but that would kill the purpose of avoiding shiny things in a vert.

^^^ That looks sick! I'd be too afraid of the paint having to much wrinkle or shine to it compared to the plastic look. I just can't stand the silver color on my A/C vents.

What did you use to paint the bezel? Is everything painted or just the chrome?
