I went back to Palmer in Ware, MA this past weekend. The track is a lot of fun and very challenging.

This picture gives you a good sense of the elevation change

That's looks like a really cool layout. Part NASCAR style oval, part true road course OUTSIDE of the oval. I'd love to drive that someday.

Were you doing a TT event or just a regular track day?

Yeah. I was doing a TT event with COM SCC (http://www.comscc.org). Saturday and Sunday morning sessions lead to a TT after lunch break on Sunday. Then they typically do a 30 minute open track session at the end of the day.

There are only 2 short straights. Everything else has some radius to it :)
I was lucky enough to be able to walk the track and realize how much elevation changes there are. The on-board video does not do justice to it.

That looks like a blast. The car looks very composed.

Yes, the car is very well balanced I have to say. It only has FRPP springs (not even sure what the rating is on these). They do seem a bit soft on cornering and breaking, but I'm not complaining. The car is a blast, the sound of the engine close to the wall always brings a smile :)

LOL. I realized I posted to wrong onboard video. What a dumb ass!
I was editing both Palmer and Thompson. The picture you see there is from Palmer (and now the updated video is from Palmer too).

What I had there before was Thompson (Thomspon, CT). A fun track but no Palmer :)
