I installed a JLT CAI and subsequently removed the sound tube piping. I plugged the hole at the firewall with a "Closed PCV System Type" Oil Filler Cap (rubber, manufactured by Stant). Part #11072; has "OIL" stamped on front face of cap. I think it was less than $2 with tax. A little bit of grease and some grunting when I pushed it in, plugged her hole nice and tight...:moon2:

JLT's CAI has a hole on the carbon fiber intake tube that allows you to use the sound tube. The kit comes with a rubber cover to go over that hole if you don't want the sound tube. The carbon fiber look is pretty sweet with the GT/CS.

JLT CAI kit has a plug for the hole on the cold air intake tube (this hole allows you to connect the sound tube plumbing if you want).

Looks good, but what did you plug the CAI with? The C&L doesnt come with a plug.

Dood! Use your imagination! A cap from a bottle of Thousand Island dressing worked great on my Steeda....:evillaugh:

I have it on good authority the Ranch works well. Stay away from the wimpy Vinaigrette's though....Heh!

A bit ghetto....

Airaid kit comes with a firewall plug and intake tube cap. Just saying....

Other manufactures need to include ALL parts needed to delete sound tube.
