Is this how they grow???

LMAO, couldnt resist. I think snakes are cool to look at too but that is only behind thick glass at the zoo. Would never have one of those slithery sum-bitches in my house.

soak in luke-warm water every three days and see growth of at least 1/4th of size every month. DUH

I'm a reptile fan as well, and for all the reasons above. They really do make great pets, and they're fascinating to watch. "Enjoying" a pet can be done in different ways. Just because it doesn't have fur and cuddles up to you doesn't mean it's not a good enjoyable pet.

Wow.. prices for those have come way way down.. I was looking at them back in 2003-2005.. seems like spiders were going for like 800.. and axanthics were insane.. like 2000.. or maybe im mis-remembering.. but i remembered thinking you could get rich off of them.. my friend was breeding them, he said his goal was to have a million dollars worth of reptiles and he said he was at like 300,000.

I got bored with my ball python.. he was neat and fun to look at for awhile and he was okay being handled..but i just sold him, i was tired of taking care of him. I've always liked having fish.. to me they are more intersting ot watch.. the ball python would move around a bit and was alright.. maybe if i had a big enclosure instead of a 20 gal tank for him it would have been better.

+1, They are very easy to take care of and some, especially ball pythons are good pets for kids. It teaches them responsibility without losing interest because husbandry does not need to be done on a daily basis (not to mention how docile they are), or at least when I was a kid the novelty of having a dog wore off quick due to the responsibility. I still don't care for dogs! lol. I currently have an 09 pastel male, 10 mojave female, and 10 male lesser. I am going for some BEL's in a couple seasons. I also have some dart frogs that call all day long. So that is my enjoyment, just because I can't cuddle the frogs doesn't mean that I can enjoy them. Their call is most definitely worth it. Also it is rewarding when you can get a "rare" species to breed successfully for you. I'm definitely a herp guy! (and no smartasses not herpes lol)

He definitely got a steal on the pied as they are still holding value fairly well, but the spider and albino price is average. Some private breeders will sell them for a bit less is your haggle a bit.

Yeah man here you go. These are just quick crappy cell pics of my girlfriend holding the pastel and mojave. The lesser just ate so I didn't want to mess with him. As for the honeybee, that a nice looking snake also. Expensive but nice. As for the spider gene, I personally like the "lesserbee" morph, I just saw one at a recent reptile show and love the colors.

Great looking pooch you got there. My brother and his wife have a 3yr old male and a 8 month old white female that are both great dogs. Plus the intimidation factor of a big Shepard scares people lol

I have two Beagles, one 7 the other is 3, a Peekapoo that is 14 months and a highly rambunctious Chocolate Lab that's six months old. He has the most beautiful green with a hint of hazel eyes you've ever seen. We had a cat my wife brought home unannounced five years ago. Just as unannounced, the cat disappeared three weeks ago.

Maggie and Buddy. Maggie is the older of the two.

MaggieBuddy.jpg

The first Beagle was a rescue dog. She was about to be put to sleep due to "over-crowding" at the local city pound in Colorado. They outright kill hundreds of animals a month there. We also rescued the second Beagle, Buddy, from a city pound here in Enterprise, AL. The third dog, Cooper, the Choc Lab, was rescued here as well. Someone threw a pillow case out of a car at 50mph. This lady my wife used to work with saw the whole thing and stopped to see why the pillowcase was moving.

Inside were 7 lab puppies all appearing as if they're full blooded Labs.

Cooper.jpg

I've got a better one of him and one of the PeekaPoo, we call him TJ, that I'll post later on. Cooper now weighs about 55lbs and is showing no signs of stopping his growth anytime soon.
