Picked up this somewhat rare option at the boneyard this week.

Grabbed this dark colored dash trim out of a fairly plain Jane V6 wreck at the local yard. When we got our first S197 in 2010 (a totaled 2007 V6 Premium 5 speed stick coupe) on eBay for my soon to be 16 year old son I really didn’t like the bright dash trim that came with the interior upgrade package. Over time it grew on me and I love the interior upgrade package and all that comes with it but I was impressed with the new darker trim panel that was introduced in 2007. You don’t see it often so when I noticed it on a wreck the other day I grabbed it.

Hey this is the same one I put on my Sally ! Mine had that bright flashy crap on it too and like you I hated it, pissed me off every time I got in the car. I finally found this very same trim package on eBay and snatched it up, loving it now !

What does the one you are replacing look like? I have had an issue with mine since my airbag was replaced. Didn't notice the issue till it was too long after the airbag swap for the dealer to take care of it. Never wanted to spend the money on a new one but if you're just going to toss it in your old parts bin I might pay shipping so you don't have to throw it away.

Sorry, someone had already grabbed it at the yard. When I first saw this the dash trim was half removed, I noticed the air bag was still in it's holder behind the trim but I didn't decide to buy til later and by then the bag was gone. Is I come across another one I will let you know.

Monkey, it looks great, I am assuming the one you got on Ebay was used? How much did they want for it? You don't see these often so I am surprised there was one on Ebay, that was a lucky find.
