Anything I should do immediately after purchasing a car? It's a 2013 and Race Red, just want to make sure there's not something you should do with the paint on a brand new car.

Thanks!

Personally I would go ahead and get some kind of sealant on here. Or if you drive it quite often put some opticoat on it and be done with it. If I had a new car I would probably just do sealant since I like to polish my car once a year or so.

Your Saleen looks clean so Im sure you know how to wash right but the correct washing procedure is very important in my eyes, especially a new car. Lets see some pics!

You guys are rock stars. I'll have pictures if the deal is done, right now it's still in the works.

Definitely want to remove whatever the dealer left on there and get quality products on the paint. As seer said, start with a clean/clay and then work from there. If you have a machine, you could go over with a light polish, and then finish off with a strong sealant.

Let's be honest- I don't own any of that shit. I do keep my car meticulously clean, but heavy lifting is done by my local detailer. I'll just use this information to pass along to him.

Don't let the dealer touch it when you take delivery. Tell them under no uncertain terms that you will walk on the deal if they touch it.

That will get their attention.

Then follow Seer's instructions.

I'm assuming they've already touched it, it's on the showroom floor. I'll have it done the day after I pick it up.

Perfect- that can be repaired, yes? It's a 2013 Boss, so I'll want to make sure to get anything corrected as soon as I can.

of course, just a round of polish or two with a DA and itll be better than new. Theyll keep coming back though if you dont learn proper washing techniques

I actually can't wait for the deal to be done so I can take a jab at Darren in the Chit Chat forum when I show it off for the first time.
