Problem with clutch helper spring removal

I just did this fix on my '14 track pack.. and while i did notice a firmer and more consistent feel, I noticed my pedal now doesn't return all the way back to the top, if i put my foot under the pedal i can lift the clutch pedal back up another +/- (1/2"). I went back under to make sure everything was re-installed correctly and I noticed that there is no spring around the shaft on the clutch in my assembly which ensured it returns all the way to the top like my brake pedal. So technically its keeping the clutch ever so slightly depressed. Anyone else's assembly missing the shaft spring on the clutch? should I re-install the helper spring ?

Thanks? I can't help but wonder if you even read my post.

In that video which describes all the steps that I have no problems with... his '13 also Has the shaft spring which my '14 does not. I have not found any one else's assembly that only has a shaft spring on the brake and not the clutch like my car does. its like i have the old '11 pedal assembly without the shaft spring.

ill chime since no one else is but isn't that the shaft spring right under/left the blue piece? If so it doesn't look like the one side is hooked to anything making it inoperable?!??!

I don't believe there is an additional spring on the clutch pedal, aside from the over/under (helper) spring you removed.

I ran my own 'clutch assist' spring from the shaft on the side of the pedal, up to a bracket under the steering shaft.

Think of it like a spring you would see on a wooden door in an older home, to help it close when it's opened. The spring puts a little pressure on the pedal and pulls it up off the floor. I removed the helper spring and installed the 'clutch assist' spring almost immediately after I purchased my car over a year ago and have yet to experience the clutching sticking to the floor.
