Did you reuse the stock OEM front strut mounts (spring top hats)? If so, I can pretty much promise you that is where it is coming from. It's an inherent problem with the S197 cars. I would suggest upgrading to a set of either GT500 upper mounts, or a set of J&M or Maximum Motorsports Caster Camber plates. With the C/C plates, you will also have adjustability to get the car back within factory alignment specs with the drop. You don't have that opportunity with the GT500 mounts.

Endlinks, tighten them down with loctite

I installed the Steeda Frnt Sway Bar end links when i did my suspension, they made clicking sounds everytime i hit a bump and it drove me nuts. I thought the part was defective, got another and same noises, i tried lock tite and recomended torque settings and still noisy, I ended up putting the stockers back.

Also, check into the rear shocks, if they are not well torqued down they tend to get really noisy, mine were but now they are silent.

^ i think the steeda endlinks will be noisey regardless, but the stock ones will not, the reason the stock ones make noise is because they actually come loose if you don't use loctite, hence the noise

I've got to be honest, you shouldn't hear anything with the Steeda endlinks. To be more clear, the endlinks themselves shouldn't be making any noise if installed properly. I put mine in, didn't torque at ride height, got noise. Re-installed, torqued at ride height, no noise.

Just my .02 on that.

If a part of your springs are close together, when they compress they can slap on top of each other. That can cause some noises when you go over bumps. There are spring seat cushions or something that can lessen that.

I installed both sets on a ride height lift and they were still making noise!! it wasnt terribly loud but enough to irritate me because i have bionic hearing. I sold the links to a local stanger, he installed them and said they are quiet, so its prolly just me. :beerdrink:

Gallagher,

Roush had a lot of bad struts and rear dampers and had a quiet recall out. If your dampers are leaking call Roush and explain the problem and they will replace them. I had one fellow with Roush suspension and his had leaked to the point that the car was making noise and had very poor or no damping. Check for leaks!

HTH!
