procharger coolant

question for everybody. i have a procharger d1sc on a 3v. every time i get into the boost coolant comes from the rad cap. i know the head gasket is fine. has anybody eles had this problem

I did, I simply had to run the coolant level about 1/2 in from the bottom of the tank to get the expansion necessary.

How do you know your head gaskets are not the issue?

i'll empty some coolant out tomorrow. i just got it back from the shop at the start of the year .it did it before on the old motor and the old gaskets were fine. are you still running the procharger tank

I had that happened to me.. replaced the cap and was fine after.

I was having that issue on my car and there was a very small molding/casting bump on top of the coolant reservoir where the cap seals against that I sanded down with some 600grit sandpaper. After that the issue was gone.

I used a modified SC coolant tank where my battery used to be and ran a -16 line to a custon tee. Then I found and cut hoses to make it all work. It is a bit overkill, but thats just me. LOL Here are a few pics.

Here is something I did to help the cooling to the rear cylinders also.

What about the head lifting under boost? My buddy had this happen with a turbo set up. He kept driving the car and boosting it. Now he's saving up to have the head gaskets replaced and the heads checked out.

I have a procharger degas tank sitting here that needs welded back up. It started with just a little coolant coming out couldnt find anywhere it was leaking. Then one day I open hood and antifreeze everywhere. shut the car off and still couldnt see it. Took it off several times nothing. When the coolant was getting hot the weld at the bottom was expanding and it was leaking. Finally the weld split wide open where it was visible.
