Lol, Totally putting my business degree to work with this project.

Getting some work done this morning and then I'll take a ride over to the audio store and take a look. Id like to do entire floor board and trunk. Ill do doors later.

Heading to SC next Thursday morning.

Side note if you think I was a tard for that, I forgot to mention I dropped my phone behind the bulkhead the sjb sits in. I thought I was going to have to cut a hole in the car LOL

Man I was so fucking mad, but that damn door harness left me no choice and I couldn't get a drop light to shine in there; leveling the iPhone flashlight was the only way.

My hat is off to you for tackling this job, I would have purchased a GT500 and turned it into a bullitt, a lot less work and money.

Lol, I've been asked so many times why I just didn't do that. The best way I could simplify the answer would be -



1. I already own a GT500

2. A real Bullitt has a much different vibe to it compared to the GT500. I don't have a finger on it but it has to do with how the car is just a overall understatement, even in stock form.

3. Built not bought beetches! Lol







Just got back from the audio store. Picked up a pack of the Dynamat 36sq ft pack for $140. This should get me started on coating the entire floor board and rear seat. Not sure if this will be enough to coat the trunk, which is fine and I'll get to it later. All the weight this adds I may have to swap to an aluminum block Haha.

Didn't have too much spare time today with the car. I got caught up in work and then took a lot of my afternoon going to pick up my convertible. I did manage to lay down a sufficient amount of the Dynamat in the front floor boards.

Words from the not-so-wise if you do this, make sure to use gloves while laying this stuff down, it it basically razor sharp when it gets bunched together and will cut you easily.

Starting place

Let's start with the passenger side

Went up and wrapped it around the transmission tunnel

Driver Side

Make sure to go around and avoid covering up bolts/washer just in case you ever need to access them. The stuff is easy to cut with a box cutter and will contour super easy.

Rear seat wheel well. Started there and then I'll go down around the areas of the fuel sender and fuel hat. I'll need another pack to start doing the trunk and probably more to do the doors.

I love this stuff though. It is heavy but I'd rather have a refined cabin than a lightweight vehicle.

I finished up the box of Dynamat this morning.

Ill place an order for another box to do the trunk and see where that leaves me. Just waiting on correct harness to show up now. I hope to get it Monday or Tuesday and I can get it back together before I leave Thursday morning.

Thanks Ryan. I've never used Dynamat so I'm not sure what results it will yield.

I just placed an order for another box via eBay for $138.89 shipped. Amazon had it for the same price but then you had to add on shipping + tax and it came out to right under $170.

yea, I've been using the 3rd parties on Amazon. Even though they sell most items for a couple dollars more, the cheaper cost in shipping and elimination of tax actually make the total less.

i used two boxes on my car. it made a world or difference, closing the door and trunk sounds like a german car instead of a tin can

I'd like to do that to my car. Since the changes I made last, my NVH has gone up considerably. I'd like to calm it down a little.
