Kind of been doing this thing called "saving money" ... it sucks. BUT if I do LT's, I will be doing some NSR custom grind ones. I miss how nasty my Bullitt sounded with the Hot Rods and Corsa mufflers.

I hear ya bro. As soon as I got married, the mustang budget slowly went from a big portion of the paycheck to just a very small sliver of it. I wouldn't take it any other way though, saving is the right thing to do in the long run!

I also miss how Bad281 used to sound with the 127500s and Corsa sports so I can understand. I just kind of came to terms with the fact that the GT500 will never have that kind of lope to it.

Tell me about it... The hot rods in my GT sound awesome. I will miss the sound, but blower whine is a good replacement. :beerdrink:

My wife put me on a friggin weekly allowance for car mods. Have to save like I'm 7 and wanting that new slot car track all over again. Then again I guess I should just be happy she let me buy the Shelby as my only vehicle only 6 months after my daughter was born.

When I was looking into getting GT500 I was looking into putting cams in and found some good options if you are looking for some. L&M has some pretty wicked grinds going from what I had found and a couple of them had some nice lope to them. Here is one I just found with a quicky look.

Little update.
I really wish I could find some aftermarket cats I trust and run FR500/KR mufflers. IMO those are the best sounding mufflers on the 3V/5.4.

Cam, what about getting a set of cat's from an 13-14 Gt500. I would think they would hold up to the power levels you have planned. Then you could run the KR mufflers you like.

I hate the KR's price tag. But they do sound good.

They are pretty less expensive compared to the Corsa mufflers I have on my GT500. Lol

Considering it, I still have a spare 13 GT500 mid in my shop that I was using before on it. Right now the car has been sitting in storage and don't have any immediate plans. I still need to correct the horrendous belt squealing issue. Plus, any spare wrenching time has gone to my F250 lately.

Listed a feeler on SVTPerformance for this car.

May be time to move on to something else and will probably sell this and maybe the Shelby for something else. Not really motivated to sell the car but figured what the hell.. it sits in storage I don't have enough room at home to store it and I'm looking at downsizing to possibly 1 Mustang.

If you downsize to one Stang what would you get?

I wonder if you might be able to get more of your money out of the GT500.

Good luck bud, awesome ride!

I'll be sad to see that car go. You did very well by that car. Its truly a one of one in the sense your build # xxxx of 181 black coupes with a gt500 diversion (albeit not OEM)

Have a couple in mind:
-Pro Touring '69 Fastback
-'68 Bullitt Clone
-GT350R-like '65-66 Fastback
-May just keep the GT500 since I enjoy driving it.

If I did sell that car, I'm going to part it out and return to stock, probably even sell the hardtop alone.

Thanks bud. Sure is a rare one regarding the 1/181 black 09 Bullitts. Who knows maybe I'll keep it. Nothing's gone till its gone.
