Anyone have any pics available of a properly installed/positioned harness bar in their S197? I installed the corbeau one a while back and I continue to have difficulty getting the struts adjusted in the right position so that;

1) they are in the proper support position
2) aren't so far forward, my seat isn't straight up
3) it's not directly in front of the seat belt return and thus keeps the seat belt from retracting when I take it off...

Oh and I still get an airbag light since I've installed it too...

pretty annoying install so far... Can anyone shed any light?

For starters, if you have a harness bar, do you have a harness? If you have a harness, why do you need your seat belts to retract? Why not just yank them out of there all together.

Did you buy the airbag harness kit to get rid of the light?

Not sure about the struts in the right position. They should fit just one way or not at all, no? Post up some pics.

My car is daily driven and occasionally tracked. I've heard and decided that the level of safety harnesses anchored to a harness bar provide, are not suffice for the street. And after a couple of the accidents I've been in, I'm erring to that side of caution. That being said, I also wish to install harnesses at the track so I can stay planted in my seat and not be sliding around all over the place. Hence I'm attempting to run both.

As for the airbag harness kit, Ive never heard of that so I'm glad I asked. What does it do and why am I experincing the airbag light in the first place?

I'll got get some pics of the struts. I see what your saying that there is only one position but are they supposed to "push" the bar back or "pull" it to the floor, ie lower seat belt mounting location?

the system is expecting to see a certain voltage or something coming through that harness, and with it disconnected it isnt seeing what it expects. therefor, light

Mine are still connected, but I'm also getting the airbag light.

Oh, I thought you replaced the seat and you were getting an airbag light. There is a plug where you can connect your harness when you swap seats with no airbag. If you still have your stock seats and getting a light, IDK, never have dove I to that wiring before. Sorry.
