Put the front wheels on its the ones with the odd shaped washer and lug nuts. It seems as if the lug nuts never get tight. Once they start to get tight I can feel it spin freely then start to get tight again. Is this the washer behind it keeping it from getting tight maybe I should keep torqueing down not sure don't want to break anything.

Is the stud spinning with the lug nut? Sounds like something is turning that is not supposed to or something is already stripped.

Na I can toss my other wheels back on with an impact and get em as tight as I want with regular lug nuts. They get snug then It feels like the washer rotates and its slightly loose for another half turn.

What about without an impact wrench?

Offset washers shouldn't be turning either, I wouldn't think. They are offset a certain way for a reason. Any evidence of the washer bending or deforming?

Do you have a pic?

so they are Racestars then.

sounds to me that you are not getting the washer to seat properly.

The weighted end goes to the outside of the wheel (the thicker part of the washer). Remember I told you to take a small blade screw driver to kind of hold them in place while tightening. A side note, I never used an impact on these lugs. Install by hand, torque to 100 ft. lbs.

PS - I recommended to change them out to the stronger McGuard lug nuts, also start with the first lug at the 6 o'clock position and rotate around in the normal pattern. Get each lug snug before a final tightening.

Alls good just trying to get them on. I read 80ftlbs on these wheels. I can get em to 80 but it feels like once it hits 80 it once to start coming loose again

Yes Washers are on correctly but it feels like they just keep seating more and more. Is 80ftlbs good. That's what I read somewhere today. If it is Ill drive em around a bit and check em

Somewhere between here and there
I called manufacturer about similar issue cause I thought lugs were binding but I failed to use plastic centering rings behind wheels. Once i used them wheels went on easier without lug binding 90lbs no problem

Get rid of the racestar lugs and get mcgards. The racestar wheels are actually pretty good, as good as any unilug rim is gonna get, but the racestar lugs and washers are total garbage.
