Today my car decided it no longer needed a serpentine belt while I was on the highway heading home.

I already had two serpentine belts in the trunk, but one of my pulleys was damaged. I want to get a pulley from Thump Racing, but don't know which one I need. Below in the picture it shows which one I need.

Thanks for any help.

I think they are either 72mm or 90mm. That one looks like a 72mm. I have a couple extra saved after going to an 8 rib kit. If a stock one will work for you just shoot me a mailing address and you can have it for shipping cost.

That pic looks like gmitch's car with his old kb setup and DOB custom 10 rib belt system.. which are being machined in large quantities as we speak! Supposed to be a few days out now

I would doubt that pic is the same idler you have on your car. Looks like a 76mm in that pic but hard to tell. Likely you have the crappy plastic 90mm in that location

Waiting for a reply from Ed confirming pulley specs. He sent me this picture after I had the 72mm smooth pulley boxed up but this doesn't look anything like the picture posted above.

Come to find out that that pulley is from Saleen. It was part of the kit and a POS pulley (plastic).
The one I got from skwerl, is just a little smaller. While I was at the Ford dealer trying to figure this mess out, I called JDM,, have done a lot of Saleen installs. I don't recall who I talked to, but that person was able to help me get things straight. I told him what I had and the pulley I ended up getting from Ford (YS-253 (1L2Z-8678-AB Tension Pulley Kit). It was bigger than the Saleen pulley and when I told the guy with JDM about it, he asked what size pulley did I have the S/C. I told him a 3.4 and he tells me that I would have to change the belt also and gives me the part number (Gates 061080).

So I get the car put back together, I check and re-check everything. The car is running great!!!

I want to thank skwerl and JDM for their help. :thumb:

Ed, sorry it wasn't the right one. If you look at the engine picture in your first post, there is a slightly larger idler pulley directly above the tensioner. Is that the one you ended up getting?

Hey man, no worries. I did end up getting the one that was just a little bigger. Everything worked out and I'm happy, car runs great, let the wife drive it and she was even happy with it. Any time she says there is something wrong with the car, she ends up being right. Hate that, ha ha.
