Hello guys im new to this mustang world .. Recently bought set of American Thunder axle backs, I like the sound but want little bit louder. Considering purchasing pypes off road h pipe or I also found a deal on a set of roush mufflers. They look similar to borla stingers but im not sure the difference. Any advice???.. Thanks.

I had the Roush axleback, dubbed offroads and pypes offroad H, and it was a mean sound for sure! Loved it.

I'd start with the offroad midpipe and work from there. Or sell your Flows and also pick up the Roush AB's.

Well what I thinking isgo ahead and buy these roush axle backs because they are so cheap. $150.. try them out and if I dont like the sound sell and then try the o/r h with the flows. Those roush sell for over $500 brand new and this is the first used set ive ran into and i dont really want to pass it up.

From what i keep reading is those axle backs are loud on there own without having to mod factory H.

If you found Roush A/B's for $150, and they're in halfway decent shape, GET THEM. Even if you don't like them you could put them on Ebay and double your money.

This all depends on how loud you want though. Go to youtube and listen to a bunch of setups.

I really like my pypes catless off road H pipe. I had the pype bomb axlebacks already, then I added the H pipe.

Thats what I was thinking of I dont like the axle backs I can just sell them and probably get more than what I paid for them. He was selling them for $200 but he dropped price cause im willing to drive 2hours to get them. I keep hearing bad things about the pypes h pipe about fitment issues and maybe some low end power loss???... I dont yet have a tuner so not really wanting to go that route yet. I already tried the offroad x and absolutely hated the sound.. sounded like a honda .. no offense to any with o/r x. Well thank you all for the info, im just going to go with the axle backs for now.

3V or 5.0? I have the Roush axle backs on my 5.0, and I abso-friggin'-lutely love them! All stock other wise, and it sounds fantastic IMHO!

EDIT: I googled the part number...3V I assume.

Changing to the Roush AB's won't be that much louder. I considered Pypes O/R H but that shit is LOUD, even more so with a chambered muffler. It might tone down a little with Roush AB's but I doubt it. I took a chance and went with MAC O/R Prochamber with Borla Stingers and for me it's just right! Really depend how loud you want it...

this is exactly the setup you should go with mate. either that, or the roush extreme o/r catback imo. And most people will tell you the same. Especially the prochambers and stingers. personally, im getting the roush ;)

Mac LT's, offroad Prochamber and American Thunder AB's combined with Mutha Thumpr's sounded AMAZING on my old 07!!!

Forgive how terrible this video is...you can hear the setup right at the beginning.

Kinda hard to pass that deal up! Definitely gonna be loud but you can always install resonators to tone it down some as well as getting rid of the chambered muffler. Going with the Roush ABs should clean it up. Post a video when your done with the install...

You want loud?

Kook's LT's with O/R H pipe connected to the ROUSH Extreme.
Holy mutha of GAWD!

This setup is deafening just sitting there idling.

I love it!
I have it!

Throw the FRPP Hot Rod cams in and you pretty much are guaranteed a ticket.
