Quarter window scoop removal

Not sure if I'm in the right area to post, but here's my question. Anybody try removing their quarter window scoops with success? Just afraid of what will remain after they are taken off. They look ok, but I hate the blind spot, and think the car would look a bit cleaner without them. I believe they are the CDC smooth scoops....

Heat gun and a little patience, and maybe some fishing line. They are just held on with 3m, so go back over it with some goo gone when you're done and you're good to go.

I removed mine and used fishing wire and alot of patience. Now are they stuck on the window or on the paint? Mine was on the window so fishing wire was fine, but if on paint the I would use the heat gun as well.
