Just bought a set of saleen 18x10 wheels for the rear. Looking for what is the best drag radial to run?
Wheels have +45mm offset / 184mm of back spacing and recommended tire size of 275/40-18

I have a 2006 GT Auto with 3.73 gears. Currently has the stock rims on on it and P-Zero tires now.

Or should I just buy drag radials for the current stock rims?

Thanks.

I'm on a nitto NT05R 285/40/18 on the back and it's on a 18x9.5 Shelby rim.

As for what brand. I still prefer the M&H race masters I used to run. They were awesome

IMO a 275 dr would be too narrow, I would run a 295 on that wheel or 305 if you go with nitto cause they run a bit more narrow than others in that size.

No the 18 x 10's would be track use only. Car is basically stock except for JLT Series 3 CAI , tune , SR Performance LCA's , and I put slotted / cross drilled rotors all the way around.

Getting a 1 piece drive shaft this winter and some adjustable springs as well.

IMO, 18 x 10s for a tune only car is going to hurt your times.

more weight to turn.

a 17" DR on a stock rim would be a better choice IMO

What is the largest size I can run on a stock rim?

I was wondering about that but the 18 x 10's were a steal , couldnt pass them and i am planning on doing a DOB kit as well.

A DOB kit is a pretty big jump from having SR control arms on your car....figure out what kind of power the car is going to have (and gearing) when you take it to the track. Make sure the tire height matches up with the gears and rpm so you cross the traps at the top of 4th. You could put an M&H 275/50?/17 on the stock wheels if you want.
