Alright so yesterday was horrible, Michael Jackson died, personal stuff, and then some douche busted out my driverside window.
For those of you with a vert, you know that the quarter window has a piece of metal wrapped in rubber glued to it in order to provide a complete seal between rear and front window.
Well the boat of douche that hit my window managed to BEND this metal piece and make it loose. The rear window is fine on its own but the glue holding that piece there is all but gone. I went to Ford and they pulled this out of their ass:

"We can't sell JUST that rubber seal part, you have to buy a whole new window assembly"
*how much is that?*
"800$ for the part"
*no*

So basically I have to find a glass company and see what the hell I'm going to do about this. Has anyone else had this problem where the seal between the windows came undone, broke, or whatever. If so how did you fix it and how much did it cost. I have a guy who came to my house this morning and fixed the broken driver window in an hour for 105$ even. Cleaned out the door for the most part but there's still some bits of glass that provide a tiny rattle, only myself and other S197 drivers/friends who are always in my car can hear it so it's not a big concern right now.

Any suggestions for trying to bend the metal back and just glue it back in are also welcome but this stuff is pretty brutal and I'm not sure I want to try my hand at gluing one of these parts back on a window.
