Hey Guys

If you were just going to wash the car regular and wax it in spring/fall what would you use. This would be done by hand power.

I know I need a bucket with a dirt catcher. Don't bother talking about clay bars and all the fancy stuff.

I know this isn't the way you guys normally roll, but your suggestions on product would be greatly appreciated! I have a unopenned ten year old bottle of turtle wax car wash, which I suspect, is not leading edge anymore :)

Thanks!

Yeah....go ahead and toss that in the garbage.

Depends on your budget however. I've used Meguiars Gold Class and NXT Car wash with good results but now I've moved onto Chemical Guys products. If you're on a budget and can't be bothered to spend a bit on detailing supplies I'd go for Meguiars #26 Yellow Carnuba Wax, about 6-8 weeks of durability and looks good after a couple coats

Meguiars #26 is decent, but if you do want to try Chemical Guys and are on a smaller budget, then I'd say Buy Maxi Suds II Car Wash and Chemical Guys XXX Carnauba Wax (Roughly less than $20). they also sell the maxi suds in an 8oz which is a bit cheaper.

Thats a good combo.

although you should at very least clay bar the car once a year.

If you buy from autoality, use coupon code scsmember for 10% off.

Thanks guys! Used your sugestions and went back and read and researched online. Decided to use Meguiar's Mirror Glaze #62 to wash and Black Fire Wet Diamond all finish paint protection for the wax.
