What goes in the threaded hole on the pass. side head? picture attached


Where does the ground strap pictured below go?

Ok, thread hole is for a sensor...Anyone know about the ground strap?

the ground strap would go from the back of the driver side head to a hole on the cowl. the plastic clip goes on a "threaded" pin on the firewall. hope this helps

I just took my motor out. The ground strap on the driver side goes to the driver side head on the main back. It was one of those bolts that has the bolt and nut made together as to mount 2 things to one bolt.

I think it's a 10mm bold that goes on it. (cowl is where the wipers are)

Thanks guys, I'll get back after it tomorrow. Hopefully the ford dealership has a CHT sensor.

That's the cylinder head tenperature sensor.

If you are using a TS blower, try to use the orginal sensor and harness. Make sure the harness is insulted with a wire shroud. A little bit of loktite is good to. Just hand tight.

The new sensors are slightly longer than the old ones by 1/8". It makes a difference. They end up hitting the bottom of the blower manifold if they are too long and then press the wires against metal, causing them to short, fail safe happens, then you got to pull it all off and fix it.

It sucks.
