Proud new owner of a 2007 GT here. I'd like to remove my plastic quarter window louvers. They are held on with what appears to be a silicone type adhesive. Any tips on getting them off and the adhesive too without damaging the paint?

what type of louvers are they?
are they the flush fit silverhorse racing ones that replace the 1/4 glass or the type that are taped to the 1/4 panel on the outside?

if they are taped on fishing line works great and will last longer than dental floss.
if they are 1/4 glass replacement ones i use a heat gun on the louver. the heat help release the adhesive bond between the louver and the windshield urethane holding them on while someone is pushing on the louver from the inside. be careful not to over heat the plastic because it will melt a few degrees higher than the temp required to release the adhesive bond.
