So I shook the tires in 1st Q round, got outta the gas and then rolled back in to it.

1.83 60 ft, 11.41. BLAH.

2nd Q I rolled the beams and went red. After being mad at my self for a second I did take off and run down Sandra, who went 11.20 So I was please the car hooked and ran hard.

3rd Q I picked up this little puppy about 250 ft out.

Had a 1.61 so which was my best with the new rear and tires combo.
My best run so far was was 11.23@ 125 which I was 1.81 60, so by my guess I was heading to a new PB, deeper into the 10's, before she let go.
It started missing and I looked in the mirror and saw nothing but smoke.
god bless her little heart she kept pushing the car on half a motor at least half of 3rd gear before I shut it off and started moving over. Track was litterd with metal chunks and oil. Oh well. Time for the new build. stay tuned.

PS stock rod only last to 15 lbs of boost.

Looked scurry... red car fly'n down the track... on FRRRRRRRR!!

Really, I didn't know it was on fire, all the smoke I saw was blue and white, Just oil coming out the block and exhaust. As soon as I stopped I looked under it, never saw any flames. But a few people behind me may have.

Huh, that is the first time I have broken something bad enought to stop on the track.
She was on a mission to get back into the 10s. I am not upset at all. That is the original motor that came with the car new. stock everything on that motor cept hedders and pulley and injectors and MAF. She has a few hundred 1/4 passes on it, so it did it;s job. I'll be having it out soon to start the next build. I am going to pray on it allot about what I should do, I am leaning toward a 5.4 Ford GT motor 340-350 cid with a Pro Mod 88mm Turbo with a powerglide, we want to run X275 Drag Radial in the car. Maybe if Jim opens the runs a bit to allow a decent transmission I would be able to race in NMRA in the year to come, if not looks like I will have plenty of radial races to make!

Sounds like you were already prepped for it to blow. Goodluck on the rebuild. Keep us posted.
