I don't understand why everybody knocks this blower. an extra $500 (pulley + tune) on top of the $3,100-3,500 for the M90 and you are looking at an easy 400 RWHP...if not closer to 420 RWHP.

for under $4,000. then add the normal bolt-ons + some cams and you can easily get 450 RWHP without really trying. that beats the price of the Roush TVS or Whipple or KB by an easy $1,000...if not even $2,000

sure it ain't a Whipple or TVS...blah blah blah. Price vs. gains do all the talking for me. Some people are just Name whores.

@ Mustang30212...can't wait to see your results with the U/D pulley. We need more people out there to get these silly naysayers to STFU. 400+ RWHP is nothing to sneeze at. especially for such a low price

I agree 100% with this.

I would certainly have gone this route if it wasn't for the fact that I lucked into a smoking hot deal on the TVS!

Well I mean they did use this blower on 6 cylinder applications, but what they also tend to forget this came stock on the Roush 427R mustang.

What did the m90 include in the kit standard, not what is added on in a package? What I mean is, spark plugs, BAP, intercooler stuff? I'd be happy with 435-450 at the wheels. Can this kit do that, without adding $1000 for cams, $500+ for longtubes.. Figure if your car has 300whp now. Its with certain boltons you lose when you add a power adder. CAI, UDP's, etc.

Do you consider the TVS phase 1 for $4800 a good deal?

Hell yeah!

I was really lucky with mine. Grand Praire Ford in Texas were selling off their entire Roush inventory at cost less 10%. They had 5 TVS kits which sold in a matter of hours. I managed to get the last one. I won't tell you what I paid because you'll cry! I think $4800.00 is pretty good. Add $250.00 for a BAP, $80.00 ish for a set of HT0's and around $475.00 for an SCT X3 and a custom tune and you are all set. (Unless you already have a tuner, then it's just $150.00 for a tune)

So, for around $5600 you can have a system that is ticking over at 450 rwhp without breaking into a sweat. Easily achieveable with just 8lbs of boost. I was at 454 rwhp on an auto with the 8lbs pulley.

Do you think that's a good deal? With the M-90 you are looking at $3100.00 plus another $800.00 for the VMP/JDM kit. That will get you to around 410-420 rwhp. How much is it going to cost to get that extra 30-40 hp with LT's, cams etc? Plus, that little M-90 will be screaming it's heart out at that power level with no more room to grow.

It's a matter of looking at your goals and how best to achieve them. Not just in terms of cost, but also what is best for your car and how stresed the individual components will be. At 450 rwhp the M-90 is maxed out. The TVS is just getting started!

Ok...results are in.

I did not gain anything with the 10% overdrive. No boost...no hp..no torque...nothing. The IAT's went up a little bit...but that's it. We're still scratching our heads on this one.

12.67 was with the M90. Motor is all stock along with the exhaust with the exception of a splice in x-pipe.

The runs were made on the stock Goodyears and I was not powershifting in any way. I'm sure someone with better drag racing driving skills would have fared much better along with some sticky tires.

I have the M90 with the BBR 2.57 pulley, BBR idler pulley, 10% overdrive crank pulley, BBK Longtubes, BBK X pipe, GT500 pumps, BBR tune and a few other mods. My best run was a 11.51@119mph. I was also running Racestar rims and Mickey Thompson tires. So you could easily enjoy your car with the M90. Everyone hates on the M90 like it is the biggest piece of shit made. Will my engine eventually blow? Probably one day! Then I will build a forged motor that deserves a TVS or Kenne Bell. But until then I will drive it like I stole it and smile everytime the little M90 makes someone look stupid, especially new Camaro and Vette owners.

I'm actually about to acquire an M90 myself. It will have pulley and intake. Looking around 400whp to start. Wanna leave room to grow. :) Problem with TVS is, if I know I can go more power, I'll try it. And I'll keep testing more and more until BOOM! No motor. :)
