Hi, just looking for others experiences with the roush shifter ... I have a 2010 Mustang GT and just had the roush short throw shifter installed.

So far have noticed:

1) A LOT of road and engine noise coming through. I check under the console and the rubber boot and foam insulation is there.

2) Stick doesn`t center while in neutral.

Is this normal. Had it installed by a Ford & Roush dealer so I assume it was done correctly.

Any ideas, thanks.

I had one in my 06 gt. I dont know if there is a difference between the 05-09 and the '10.

I loved it. I didn't notice any additional noise compared to the factory piece, and it centered in neutral just fine. It felt 100x better than factory. Much shorter and felt very firm. It was a bit 'notchy' so I had to give a little more force when shifting, but overall I like it.

I didn't have any other brands so nothing to compare it to except the factory.

I do get a lot of whining through mine, but it centers fine and shifts great, most of the time. When it's cold it doesn't want to go into gear, my only complaint.

I called Roush customer service. They said the shifter need 2-3k miles on it to break it in. If it still doesn't center then call the dealer and have it replaced. How long have you had yours? Thanks for the replies.

2-3k miles for break in wtf?! I have mine in for about 500+/- miles and to be honest I hate every thing about it. Maybe once I get the new one things will change. I was told it's supposed to spring back regardless. I'll keep ya updated.
