I have seen people running 2 spare tires up front. Can this be done , and how much top speed can be handled on the spare tire?

You can use the wheel, you would need to replace the tires. I personally wouldn't it looks alittle too ghetto. Several s197 are running those.

Well I came from a very tough GHETTO ! I guess I am not so vien. Thanks for the opinion though. I found 2 that are made of Aluminum. Very light. This is about speed for me not looks , this is not a car show for me. I do like my car looking good on the street don`t get me wrong. It is like going into the cage to fight and worring about how do my shorts look.

I grew up in a not so nice part of Cincy myself. Its not about being vain. Sorry didn't think my reply would elicit a response about the asthetics.

I race on a tight budget. Thats why I run Jegs 15" skinnies on the front. I would love to have Bogarts or Weld RTs but just isn't in the budget. The quality or finish of the Jegs isn't near as nice as the expensive ones but work out fine for me. So maybe I'm not so vain after all. Oh, how do my shorts look on me??? lol

Good luck hope it works well for you.

Woa.... Was not saying you were vein.... only that I am not. It is just about speed to me, that is all. I meant no disrespect, sorry if I cam across that way. Yea I want Bogarts, and talked to the kid of the owner over there. He told me when I drive down to Phoenix, he would give me a little bit of a discount. They are much lighter ,and would sure look good also. I just have to be in a financial position to do this myself.

running the spare tires up front is dangerous at the speeds we hit in the quarter mile. a Decent track will laugh you out of tech inspection and then follow you back to the pit laughing at you while you take them back off.

I wouldn't think that you could pass tech with spare tires up front.

i run 2 spares up front with a set of skinny tires that meet regulations. I race at ennis and they havent said anything about it. the 1st time i went they laughed at me, cause they though i still had that crappy tire on it. Just change the tire out and you should be fine. I have over 200 track passes on my car, and 0 problems so far.
