Saleen S/C Custom H/E tank install questions

So first of all I'd like to start by saying that I am in Afghanistan right now so if anyone asks for pictures I can only get what I can find online. I'm also not doing the install right now but in about 4 months when I get home. Some of you might know that when your deployed half of your time is thinking what your going to do for your car when you get back home, so sorry for the long winded post. I'm just trying gather a better understanding of things. Saying that....

I am planning on doing a wire tuck like the one that has been going on in the DIY section and part of that is getting rid of the hoses and hiding my H/E tank. I have followed Tmcolegr's threads about cooling down the Saleen S/Cer. http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7581&highlight=afco Last winter I installed the moroso battery box H/E tank and put in a Shelby C/R dual fan H/E following the "improved method" of the thread I listed. I found this tank on the classified section and thought it was perfect for the wire tuck. Now if this thread doesn't yield any results I will just sell it but I would like to have everything work out.

Now :sigh1: finally to my questions (forgive me for my ignorance in advance)

1. A. Pump placement issue: I dont plan on using the original bosh pump but lets say I did, for clearance I would have to mount it on the D/S of the H/E. Now, if I bought the bracket that comes with the whipple and used the same placement as that kit, would it fit my pump?

Also, can I mount the pump higher than the tank? I dont plan on putting it on the D/S because the hose routing would be a nightmare but hypothetically speaking for worse case scenarios.....will I be able to?
B. Instead I was thinking of getting the Meziere 20gpm pump and mounting it directly to the outlet of the tank to the inlet of the pump with this fitting

and then making a custom bracket to mount the pump to the collision bar to make it more sturdy so as to not have the npt fitting be the only thing holding the pump in place and to take less strain off the pump and tank. Would anyone perceive any problems in doing it this way? I may not have clearance between the tank and H/E to mount the pump in that location which actually would be another reason in asking if I could mount the pump a little above the tank?

2. Another possibly ignorant question.....looking at this tank and seeing that the top of my H/E is about 2-5 inches higher than the top of the new tank, when I turn the car off wouldn't all the fluid from the system drain into the tank possibly overflowing it? I understand there's a cap but when I put fluid in the car I usually have the pump/car running so I can get as much fluid in the system as possible and to get rid of air pockets (obviously). Doing the same to this tank I don't want to take the cap off when the car is shut off and then have a bunch of fluid start to spill out of the top.

Also, if the fluid drains back into the tank from the H/E wouldn't that mean that every time I start the car I would basically be purging the system of air pockets?

I'm not getting a clear image of how this whole thing is layed out, but I'll give this a go.
1 A. The pump can be mounted anywhere that you can get wires and hoses routed. The problem is that the longer / more convoluted the hoses, the greater the restriction. In theory, the bracket should fit if it's the same pump as intended.
1 B. The fitting idea should work, especially if you can fit the whole thing in that space with a short section of hose. If you have to do any hose looping, support the hose so it doesn't put undue weight on the pump.
2. I'm trying to figure the fill spout of the tank, but if that's it in the second photo and it's extendning up to the top of the radiator, you're golden on all of your fill / level questions. If the fill spout ends up lower than the pump (or any other part of the system), then you've got issues. Likewise, fluid will always maintain a 'like' level, assuming there are no air pockets, so once the system is bleed everything will remain full as long as the fill spout is the highest point.

That about sums it up, thanks dread. Long time no see haha. Looks like everything should go together nicely. You were correct, the second picture is of the fill spout and sits around where the windshield wiper fluid fill spout was before. Yea, I just wasnt sure if I filled the tank up that all the fluid in the hoses going to the S/C that are above the fill spout would drain back. Causing the spout to overflow if I open it while the car is shut off. I'll probably just fill it about an inch from the bottom of the spout. That should leave enough for excess fluid. Thanks.
