When I first got my 2005 Mustang with the Shaker 1000 system in it, I decided to replace the factory head unit with an aftermarket one so I could listen to my iPod in it.

I decided to buy a Pioneer DEH-6000UB head unit as it had all I needed. It's details are here: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-FzBS0YF...H-P6000UB.html

I then bought a wiring harness for the Shaker 1,000 system off of eBay for around $10.00. Everything worked perfect for about a year and I noticed the 2 Kick panel speakers were not working (I must have bad hearing

) and I took out the head unit to find out what the problem was and it turns out it was missing the input for the 2 kick panels all along... I guess that's what I get for buying off of eBay.

So I went back to CrutchField and ordered this harness: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_127C2RF...&ssi=0&tp=3486

And after I installed this it wouldn't let me play my radio very loud, because when a strong bass note would hit, the speakers would pop and the whole system would shut off. But the great support at CrutchField sent me another harness overnight to me in exchange for the other one. This time I decided to take it to a professional radio installer and have him install it. He installed it and it still did the same thing.

So I contacted the Crutchfield support again and they sent me a relay to try to fix the problem. Well I had the relay installed and it STILL does the shut off. None of the fuses are bad and my dad did something like connect the relay to the battery to where the Stereo would stay on all the time and it worked like a charm no problems, I could turn everything to it's max (not that I do.

) But that ran down my battery after my car sit for a couple of days so he hooked it back up the previous way.

Does anyone know what is causeing this problem/how to fix it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure why your system is doing all that but you should try this walk thru out http://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...rex-sg4933r-rear-camera-install-w-pics-5.html spent $25.00 total on parts works great Every speaker works get a small pop at the subs when the stereo shuts off. Stereo may be shot or something is definitely wrong with the pacs system.

Do you have the shaker 1000?

Fixing to install my AVIC Z2 and it looks like i need this $100 adapter just to hook up the aftermarket radio to the factory harness?
