Hello there guys,
Well I bought some of the parts of the system that I hope to install in the car once I get back from deployment. I'm looking for a high quality, not competition system that can last as long as the car can. Not really too experienced in this field is why I put it here on the forum for everyones two cents, feedback, what theyd do, and things to consider. Here is the parts list that I hope would do the job:
Kenwood Model DDX518 head Unit (Bluetooth, NAV, Ipod, IPhone, etc) <--New Version of the DDX516
AMP: Alpine PDX-5, 5 channel amp (75 x 4 + 300 x 1 (mono) RMS Power))
Sub: 1 JL Audio 10w3v3-4 (500w RMS power, optimized rms is 300w) <--will one work?
Speakers:
Rear Deck: JL Audio C2-570X speakers

Front: I am crossed between the JL Audio C5-570 series
http://signature.crutchfield.com/s_1...70.html?tp=106
or JL Audio ZR570-CSi
http://signature.crutchfield.com/s_1....html?tp=27775
Any recommendations?
Kick Panel (Factory 8 inch sub location): here I am stumped, I dont know what to do in this location.
Now this is what I have looked at so far and am interested in. I've thought about putting the components in the 8" location, and put the tweeter and bluetooth microphone where the stock 5x7's are in teh front. I was wondering what other ideas people had or have done with 05-09 mustangs about this.
In the trunk I'd like to have an amp rack in the back of the trunk so when I roll the seats down, there it is. Something like this looked great.

here is the trunk job i found:

About the sub location: I've seen many enclosures that went to the side of the trunk and they were alright. I've also thought about perhaps making an enclosure with a rack side to put the amp and push the amp side in the back of the trunk so the subs were looking out to the trunk and the amps were behind the seat like i was thinking. Another thing I saw in a magazine was a false floor and he put the subs where the spare tire was and put a lid on it all carpet as if nothing was there. I liked this idea since I hate the fake trunk floor in the new stangs and would love a real one. Any other ideas you guys have would be nice to hear or how I can do these Ideas would be great. i wonder if the system would work, what kind of wiring i'd need and other stuff. Would the one sub work for this brand, and if i wanted another How could I wire another in the long run? I'l lpost more once replies are sent. Thanks Guys!
