I don't hear mine on the car. Just off the car like this. You sure you're is silent on a workbench like this?

They said it is the backlash and makes that noise only at a certain speed. They might be right because sometimes I heard this noise and sometimes I did not. Wasn't paying attention to any speed I was turning the pulley. Makes no noise on the car that I can tell.

Call edelbrock. They designed it. The KB I have sitting in my apartment is smooth as butter, no noise. So I wouldnt think that was right.

Before I installed mine it turned it just like you were and it was dead silent. Now that was brand spanking new, maybe after it breaks in and gets some wear it will but I don't know.

That sounds exactly like my whipple did after my rotors took a shit in it.

BUT - don't be scared cause mine sounded like that all the time and was worse when the car was running.

BUT - I don't like their 'backlash' hogwash answer either - it should not be scraping inside at any revolution or speed IMO.

From what I remember, mine was dead silent as I am sure a noise like that is something I would have noticed.

dude I got all my stuff apart right now. When I get home tomorrow from work I will go out and spin mine and see how it sounds. I only have like 1500 miles on mine, kit number 222.

Mine is silent when you turn the rotors by hand and silent when it is running. I have also spun it by hand off the car and it was smooth and quiet. I believe there is something wrong with that one.

There is plenty of blowby oil inside this E-Force. A guy looking at it with me thinks that sound is sound of the rotors sealing and unsealing against the oily residue in there - sort of like a slurp sound every time an air pathway opens and closes as the rotors turn.

Well all I have is the video to go from but that does not sound to me like 'slurping' in any way. It sounds to me like the rotors scraping each other as you turn it. Just so you know, if they are slightly touching and maybe you can't really tell yet when it's running, it is only going to get worse and sooner than later - it will be very loud when it is running if the rotors are in fact messed up.

It only takes one tiny piece of something coming into your blower to fuck up a rotor. The slightest bend in a rotor and it will start warping and getting worse and worse. I don't know if this is your case, but I would be concerned about that grinding noise if I was you.
