There is a big difference between flexing..and twisting. If I have the story correct, the current aftermarket braces will minimize flexing, but do nothing, or very little.. for the twisting. If the brace was redesigned, it could solve both issues.... but there is only limited room down there. If they are welded, it will eliminate the twist issue, but not the flex. You probably really require both methods.
