It can happen; Original stock plugs with 84k on them all eight plugs removed with no breakage or separation. I had been dreading doing the plug change for several months but it had to be done to make the next series of mods so I parked the car after last Fridays trip to the track and gave it a go. Have to admit I was holding my breath the entire time.

I started Saturday morning by pulling the coils and breaking out the torque wrench and penetrating oil. Set the torque wrench to 26 ft. lb. and give each plug a turn, 3 of the 8 moved so I gave them each about ½ a turn, the remaining 5 all tripped the 26 ft. lb. setting on the torque wrench. Grabbed my favorite penetrating oil (Kroil) and put about a table spoon full in each sparkplug well, closed the hood and went about my day. Sunday morning I grabbed the torque wrench popped the hood and gave the 5 unyielding plugs from Saturday morning a second try, this time I was able to get the ½ turn on the remaining 5 plugs I was looking for. Closed the hood and off to the family barbeque for a day of food, swimming and adult beverages. Being off from work on Monday and having indulged the entire day before I got a late start 11ish, again grabbed the torque wrench still set to 26 ft. lb. To shorten the story 30 minutes later all 8 plugs were out a couple with more resistance then the rest even with some audible squeaks as the carbon buildup gave way but as you can see below they all came out in one piece. Time and patience paid off and I give a ton of the credit to the Kroil this stuff is bad ass. http://www.kanolabs.com/

Good luck, I thought everyone would all like to see a good outcome to this job for a change

Waiting to do the same, have 2 cans of Kroil.
Hoping it turns out as well as yours.

IDK if it's cause mine has such low miles (40k) but I've had my plugs out twice and never had to use PLP or had an issue.
