I am looking to buy adj upper control arm. I going to go with J&M Adj uca but then I found Spohn Adj uca for a lot cheap. I haven’t heard of Spohn and I am always worried about quality of an something that are that much cheaper then the rest, so I wanted to know what you guys think of them?

I'm just going to throw my .02$ in on that part. First off, you get what you pay for, and that won't be much with them. There statement that a poly bushing will cause COMPLETE suspension bind is BS. If that's the case, what does the factory rubber bushing do then? They have no problem offering a poly rear bushing though?:screw:

Secondly, the mounting bracket on the axle side is not a boxed design. This can allow the rear mounting bracket to flex under high stress launches due to everything being held together by just the bolt. I would pay a few more bucks and get a better designed and made part.

I have the J&M LCA's. I like them. Eventually I will be getting their UCA too. I like the engineering of their parts, because they seem to have focused on those of us who like to do more than just go straight...

There was a brief period that bmr had an issue with bushings, it was addressed. If its comeing up now on a part that someone just bought then its on an old part that someone had in stock for a year. I run full bmr suspension on my car, it sees a lot of use with from 350 to now 400 to the wheels also with about 40,000 miles on the BMR parts. I road race. No problem. BMR is quality stuff.

I also have 2 customers with 10 second stangs running full bmr chassis and suspension mods. No issues.

Like the steeda rep said, you get what you pay for.

CHE is also offers an adjustable UCA and they have a great rep with the S197 community. As an added bonus, PMP (a site vendor) has them on their website.

Well i would be interested to know a reason why che? tubular arms have drawbacks, the instant center brackets only have one hole for the control arms to mount so no adjustability like a BMR or Steeda.

I mean no offense to che, its good stuff and its priced right, but its far from top of the line.

I wouldn't say it's far from top of the line. It's definitely good stuff. Many members on here use theirs with great results. I can't offer an argument as far as why no adjustability, but I can say it will definitely improve the instant center. Maybe it won't perfect it, but I think it will definitely get you 'close enough' if that makes sense. Not everyone on here drives a single digit drag car where a minute detail like being off a degree or two could make a visual difference in the timeslip.

I have their adjustable UCA, LCAs, and camber plates. All are quality products. The bushings in their LCAs fixed a squeaking problem I was having with another companies LCAs.

I have the J&L LCAs and they work great. They didn't have the UCAs when I got mine or I would have them.

It is good stuff. Im not trying to down it, I just like to hear reasons for peoples opinions on things.

I would also say that the angle of control arms are not minute, I frequently will switch mine for the drag strip and normal or road course driving. This makes a huge differences in ride and handling of the car.
