stumped...for all my audio people.

Im having this problem with my system I just started noticing it the past couple of days, when i had the ipod on pause. I started hear this noise i thought it was the car at first but it was the system. It was quaking a little, and as i turned the bass up it got louder while the radio is still paused. So i went threw all the wiring and i saw that one of the RCA cables was loose a little so i just pluged it back in and thought it was just a loose connection. But it still does it. And idk what it could be.....any suggestions?

I guess i should have used a different word for that. I can hear the speakers beat with out the music being on.

thats what i was thinking but the ground isnt loose or anything.

but you can have a non ground wire grounded, or rubbed raw and intermittentally grounding out.

The speakers or the subwoofers? Maybe your head unit doesn't completely mute the signal.

its the subs that are doing it. As for the head unit idk....ive never had any problems like this before and ive had the headunit for awhile now.

Thanks Hawgman! Turns out the ground was a tad bit loose and didnt really notice it, till i looked at it again!
