How is the powdercoating holding up on the blower? I have always wanted to have mine done but every post I see about it says to not coat the gear housing.

It's holding up really well. Vortech sells a powder coated unit so I don't know why somebody would say not to powder coat it.

You should paint the Intake so that it looks like your fuse box cover. That is a damn clean engine bay man.

It was scary grinding off the corner of my intake, but it fit just fine.

You should paint the Intake so that it looks like your fuse box cover. That is a damn clean engine bay man.

I had a plenum cover that matched. I'm cool with this one the way it is. I may mask off the "Racing" and paint it yellow.

I got a question about the breatherss? have u gotten any oil in the engine bay? with it being boosted, does this affect anything? what are the benefits and disadvantages of doing this.

So far there's only been a little bit on the expansion tank. The advantage is not having oil sludge (blow by) going back into your engine. When I pulled my manifold to swap my alternator, there was oil coating it. I ordered breathers that day. As for disadvantages, depends on your environmentalist ethic. Other than the oil getting in your engine bay a little and your car smelling like a car is supposed to smell, there is not a disadvantage.



Done today:

Billet battery tray. I'm not sure I like it though. I've got some new terminals that will get rid of that cluster fuck on top and maybe I'll like it more then. I'm thinking about powder coating it.
