Technically they're both "variable cam timing"... I think that's what he's referring to.

And a date? 3:30 a.m? Tomorrow?

Yes they are both variable cam timing, but the 3v vct is total different from the 5.0 tivct. The tivct is a whole new ball game and doesnt borrow much from the 3v vct design. Thus my comment. :thumb2:

correct, that's what I meant. Sorry, this post was from a couple days ago, so the date was whafever "tomorrow" would have been as of the posts day/date. BTW the current Car & Driver also has an article on this subject, specifically making reference to the 5.0.
