So I had one wheel redone from Black to Silver and my stupid powdercoater sucks balls and wasted $200 doing it twice.

Do you think this color matches?

It's the same wheel comparing it to the front and rear under different lighting.

Update: Here are some side by side pics

the glosses appear to be different. the wheel with the tire seems to be a brighter shine.

however could be the lighting and angles

Can you take a pic where they're at the same angle? It's impossible to tell when they're clocked 90 degrees.

It's very close in color, almost hard to tell from pics. The gloss is off a little as MaNickles pointed out. However, being 9+ feet apart when installed, I doubt anyone will be able to tell the difference.

Looks like the new one isn't cleared, other then that it's fine. Remember that they'll never be that close to each other on the car and NOBODY will ever notice (not that it is noticeable)

I'm going to say the new one is more blue while the old ones are more brown.

That said, powdercoat will be tough to match unless you have the exact same brand and batch of powder. Set them 9 feet apart and add a little brake dust and nobody will ever notice. After 6 months you won't even be able to tell which is which and you know they are different.

Look at them side by side and not 90* from each other, especially if they are a metallic finish. That way most of the matalic panels I install at work have arrows on the panels. If you turn any matalic paint 90* it will look different.
