Ok, here is my current setup.

Stock springs
17x9 front + 255/45
18x10 rear + 295/35

Ok....I planned on lowering it a lot, but my driveway wont allow that, so I want to get rid of as much fender gap as possible. This is my idea.....try to follow me


Im thinking of doing the H&R sports which drop the front 1" and the rear 3/4". My current front setup (255/45/17) is 26" tall. My current rear (295/35/18) is 26.1" tall. If I lower the front 1", I figure there will be ~1.6" fender gap. Im looking at doing a 295/40 out back, which will make the gap around 1.3". would this look better? I dont want there to be more gap in the front than the rear.

Driveway Fix

It makes sense, but you have other options out there if you want, and they are not that expensive to fix the problem in the driveway.. For example:

don't make your life so difficult. take different approach angles with your car against your dirve way. point 1 or point 2 inches wont make that much of a difference.

Stock wheels obviously....this is with ONLY the rear lowered 3/4" (bricks in trunk). Unless you guys can shed some light on my situation, I cant slam it. Anyway to "shave" the concrete? Anything I can do that wont be super $$$ or impractical let me know.

I know its aweful....its not even that steep, its just awekward and the 2 low spots happen to be the exact same distance apart as my wheel base. How I would love some H&R supersports

nothing that about 4 bags of "quickset" wouldn't take care of. thats cement for the clueless. couldn't be that hard to fill in those little wells and make a ever so gradual decline from the driveway to the street. i do not se any other way. good luck buddy!

Can you use a steel plate on the driveway and just a small section of the road?
This would allow water runoff to continue (city would be happy).
I see this kinda of setup all the time in my neighborhood. I can take a pic for you so you can see what I mean.

He probably parks his car in the garage, and parking on the street would leave it out in the rain and weather etc. Not counting it's not as safe from being vandalized or broken into.

Exactly. Garage kept 365. I cant park in the street anyways from Dec.1-April 1 because of winter parking restrictions.

Seriously, I can't think of anything that hasn't already been discussed. I think if you start messing with "shaving" your driveway you'll most likely have to get permits and such.

Subscribing - I'm in basically the same boat you're in.. county side walk I can't touch and all.

Just instead of the double dip you have, I have an abrupt, high, rounded off curb. At stock ride height I would rub if I came in straight.
